It is all we’ve ever wanted as Nieve Ella takes to the stage for her highly anticipated first headline show.

Set in Omeara, London, to a sold-out crowd, she begins to open with ‘Big House.’ Nieve takes an alt-pop/indie style to her records that create a magical performance onstage that heightens the experience for the crowd. The singer also nodded back to her songwriting influences, by covering, ‘White Roses’ and ‘You and Me Together’, that are also under that alt/indie / pop rock genre. Accompanying the singer/songwriter was her incredibly talented band, consisting of Finn Marlow (guitar), Fran Larkin (bass), and Matt Garnett (drums), as well as Nieve Ella leading with her staple guitar and beautiful vocals.

As she continues her set, she plays songs such as ’19 In A Week’, and ‘Lifetime Of Wanting’, which is a testament to her vulnerability and relatability in her music that her fanbase can feel connected to, about growing up, and all the emotions that come alongside it. This is very clear as everyone screams all the lyrics back to her, with bows and jelly cats throughout – whilst Nieve remained very connected to us as a crowd.

One unique element of her show was an unreleased song that she performed called, ‘The Things We Say,’ about her best friend. Not only was that best friend in the audience that night which is extremely special to witness, her team also let a couple of people hear that song in advance. This happened every night of her tour, whilst the audience was in the queue prior which is a special connection fans can have with her music before it is even released.

As she finished her set with her first single, ‘Girlfriend,’ the crowd erupted in applause and for the rest of the night, I could only think about her insane stage presence throughout and how that was her first ever headline show – as she is a natural. A memorable concert with a rising star that should be on your concert bucket list.
